ABOUT ST WILLIAM

St William specialise in the redevelopment of redundant gasworks sites. Our goal is to unlock some of the most technically complex regeneration sites at the heart of communities across London and the South of England, transforming them into beautiful places for people to live, work and spend time. We want the places built by St William to be renowned for the quality of their landscape and public open space which will be open to the wider community. Our approach to development is underpinned by landscape-led design principles, providing a practical way to open up and reconnect places that have been closed to the public for decades.

THE REDEVELOPMENT OF BOW COMMON GASWORKS

Bow Common Gasworks is a 3.86 hectare site formerly used for the production and storage of gas. The site has now been redundant for a number of years and St William has now begun works to regenerate the site. The new development will provide opportunities for living, working, learning and playing in an environment characterised by the site’s rich natural and industrial heritage. Embracing these opportunities will deliver a vibrant new place in east London, offering new affordable and private homes, new jobs, commercial and retail space, a 1ha common, a school and improved connections to the wider community.
